A composer of various styles of music since the age of 17, Hannah began her musical training on the
Clarinet at age 10 and by age 13 had crossed over to Piano, taking occassional Theory lessons on the side.
"I was never much of a performer, prefering more 'behind the scenes' work...
This is how I decided to become a composer." HS

With little experience the area of composition, Hannah's self-taught talents were still able to earn her a
university place at Queensland's Conservatorium of Music, situated in the heart of Brisbane, Australia.
2002, 5 years later, Hannah graduated from her specialist 'Bachelor of Music in Composition' degree.
In which space of time she has written pieces for soloist's up to orchestra's, lyrical songs to theater pieces
and started dabbling in film music. She has had performances in both Queensland and New South Wales
and upon request has also had international performances in Sweden and The Netherlands.
Throughout university, Hannah worked with some prominant Australian composers, Dr. Stephen Cronin,
Stephen Leek and Gerard Brophy
and during her trip to The Netherlands, also met with renowned
Dutch composers: Louis Andriessen, Hanna Kulenty, Andrew Toovey and Martijn Padding.

Hannah's focus now is composing for film, documentaries and television programmes.
Taking her inspiration from modern film composers, Hans Zimmer, Rachel Portman, John Williams,
Danny Elfman
and the list goes on.

"Most of my pieces tell a story of some kind, I find it easier to compose with an image or
scenario running through my mind, that seems to work for me and most likely,
an excellent feature for an aspiring film composer."

Hannah's style is her own, a blend of modern and classic, she doesn't like to conform to expectations.

"I am totally amazed and always inspired by the music written for Cirque du Soleil by
Violaine Corradi, Rene Dupre and Benoit Jutras
they are absolutely fantastic and would
love to work with them some day." HS
