Supporting Hannah, are her parents, husband, encouraging friends and relatives.

My Family:
My parents (Keith & Alexis Sunbeam) moved to Queensland, Australia with me, when I was 2.
In 1993 my father was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) aka ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease.
It's a progressive disease, gradually deteriating the nervous system, muscle by muscle.
After 15 years, Dad is at a point where his only freedom is speech and sometimes that is getting to be a
struggle, for him and the people who have to listen to him.
We take the use of our muscles for granted. Think what it would be like to not have use of your tongue,
your lungs, your eyelids, your heart.
This disease can take your control of your life for years or in some, only months.
Please support suffers and carers of MND.
My mum has been his full-time carer for almost 15 years and is the strongest woman I know, physically and mentally.
My parents support me a great deal with all that I do in life and I really appreciate them.

My husband, Bryant and I met in 2003 while working at Ayers Rock (Uluru), Central Australia.
Bryant, a chef had been working there for a year when I arrived, we stayed for another year until we packed
into his car and drove the long road to our next jobs in the New South Wales snow fields at Thredbo.
We share a love of adventure and since then have traveled north to the Whitsunday Islands, where we scuba dive and
east to New Zealands Queenstown where we snowboard, but call South East Queensland home.
We married in May 2006 in the Brisbane forest park surrounded by close friends, family and wildlife. As yet we have no children.

"I have a great love of travel, have done since I was very little." HS

My Travels and Experiences:
Before I met my husband, my travel adventures led me through some amazing life journeys and numerous fasinating countries like New Zealand, Canada, America, England, Italy, Holland, France, Japan, Mexico, Germany,
Switzerland and of course Australia.
Originally a New Zealand born family, there was never a time I didn't have a passport. In my childhood, my parents and I would travel quite frequently to visit family in neighbouring NZ. It wasn't until I was 10 that my parents and I took our first big trip, to the western states of America.
After my first year at university, I undertook a solo trip to visit more family in Alberta, Canada. For 6 weeks in the depth of their chilliest winter, I absolutely loved it!.
2002 was my first opportunity to travel to Europe on an invitation to a Young Composers Meeting in The Netherlands. I was only a short trip to see as much as a could before returning to my final year of university in Brisbane.
18 months later I was packing my bags again to move out to live at Ayers Rock (aka Uluru).

In my travels I've had the chance to Scuba-Dive the Great Barrier Reef, Sky-Dive from 14000ft, play a little ice hockey, learn to ski, snowboard and windsurf yet I still have so much more to see and do.
